Introducing The Ramplight
We would like to introduce you to the Ramplight Swimming Pool Lighting system. This exciting new product was designed by our experienced pool engineer and is a safer and easier system for underwater lighting. In a conventional underwater light when the bulb needs replacing, the light is drawn through the pool water and electrical cables are left trailing in the water whilst the bulb is replaced. The Ramplight eliminates this and other safety issues as the bulb is changed from the pool surround. This means that you, the pool owner, could carry out the bulb change yourself instead of having to call out the pool engineer or engineers. Over the years you could have considerable cost savings.
Bulb Changing - The OLD WAY
Changing a conventional underwater light bulb typically takes thirty minutes (assuming no problems are encountered during the procedure). It is necessary to dangle over the edge of the pool, reach into the water and release the light assembly from its fixing. The light is brought to the surface still attached to the electrical cable, which remains floating around in the water. On the pool surround the light is opened and the bulb replaced. The light is then re-assembled, taken back through the water and re-secured in position.
Bulb Changing - The NEW WAY Using Ramplight
as simple as A - B - C
- Simply unscrew the deck-box lid and pull out the inner assembly by its handle, in doing this the electrical supply is disconnected from the light
- Change the bulb
- Replace the inner assembly and the deck-box lid
No Electrical Wires in the Water
Ordinary lights are powered via a long electrical cable which is coiled up underwater behind the light. In order to change the bulb, the pool light is brought through the water to the pool surround and electrical cables are left trailing in the pool water. This major safety concern is completely eliminated in the Ramplight where all electrical wires are sealed within the light and are never in contact with pool water.
Reduces Contamination
Behind conventional underwater lights is a volume of static water surrounding, where debris can build up. (The composition of this debris is usually a mixture of organic and electrical cable debris.) When the light bulb is changed this debris is released into your clean pool water. This problem does not occur when changing The Ramplight bulb as due to the unique design of the Ramplight, the bulb is changed from the pool surround. |
